REVIEW BUNTE LIGA COLOGNE CUP FINAL 2024

We sat down for an emergency meeting on the Tuesday before the cup final with trepidation - the city's sports authority had banned us from the musical program at short notice due to strict noise protection regulations. A new venue had to be found. Fortunately, FU24BA7L manager Tobias Thomas has excellent connections with our project partner ESV Olympia - and therefore access to one of the most beautiful soccer pitches in Cologne.

After one or two minor changes, the plan was ready. On Saturday, the Cologne "Olympic Stadium" greeted us in bright summer weather.

At 2 p.m., Gunnar Leue kicked off the warm-up with his Football songs - not only the players, but also the audience were able to get into the best soccer mood.

At 3 p.m. sharp, the kick-off of the "Supercup", conceived especially for this day, took place with the well-travelled guests.Dynamo Tresen« from the Bunte Liga Frankfurt against the reigning champion »Betong Union« of the Cologne League.
After an exciting game, "Betong Union" was able to prevail with a 2-0 win against Frankfurt. In the spirit of the Bunte Liga , they celebrated together afterwards and looked forward to the highlight of the day in the third half.

This started punctually at 5 p.m. - it was "Inter Filos" against "FC Rhenania". And what a cup final it was - a last-second penalty for Filos, a sending-off for Rhenania, and a 1:1 score going into extra time. This ended in a 2:2 draw and now it was time for a penalty shoot-out. Both teams stood on the halfway line, cheering or suffering along with their teammates. In the end, the "Inter Filos" had that little bit more luck - they won the 2024 Cologne Colored League Cup Final. You can watch a summary of the game here.

In addition to Gunnar Leue, »Superbloco« and »Schwarz/Rot Atemgold 09« created a mega atmosphere with their samba and drum sounds and heated up the teams on the pitch.
