Bunte Liga Köln

Back in the 1970s, largely unorganized alternative soccer teams played on the fields of Cologne: BUNTE LIGA KÖLN was founded in 1988 and is still an outstanding example of self-empowerment outside of association structures and great voluntary commitment. Bunte Liga-Football stands for fairness and respect as well as zero tolerance towards racism, homophobia and sexism.

The central playing field is traditionally the Jahnwiesen behind the RheinEnergieStadion. Teams from all over Cologne's hobby soccer culture come together here: there is hardly a Cologne pub, club, collective or community that is not represented here. Anyone can and may take part.

Together with FU24BA7L, the 2024 cup final will be the highlight of the season, with all the trimmings: DJ, music, bratwurst and beer - and of course a real award ceremony with trophy and subsequent third half.
